The Peanut Butter Mixer has gone through many different designs, leading to the one you see today. But they were all based on the same principle: mix a jar of peanut butter by rotating it.
Our first design was based on two Lego tracks: (2017)
As you can see in the video, the jar kept rolling off!
So, I moved on to two Lego wheels: (video from June 2017)
This wasn’t very practical either – I took the Peanut Butter Mixer apart to build another robot!
I had recently been given a 3D printer by a friend So, my dad and I sat down and worked out a design for the Peanut Butter Mixer.
All the parts were there – the Adjustable Peanut, motor, and rollers. This design was battery-powered.
In May 2018, my dad and I began to design the Peanut Butter Mixer in a software known as Tinkercad.
And that’s how we got to where we are today!
